Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe

Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe (PRACE) initiative aim is to provide the European scientists and engineers with HPC infrastructure and services of computing capacity reaching PetaFlop/s, comparable to the best available service of such kind in the world.

The research infrastructure PRACE-RI is being developed throughout the following European projects, that include WSCC as well: PRACE PP, PRACE-1IP, PRACE-2IP and PRACE-3IP.

Non-profit foundation PRACE AISBL (fr. Association Internationale Sans But Lucratif) has been appointed for the infrastructure management. The foundation operates under Belgian law.

The aim behind PRACE activity is to support European science by providing advanced computing services.
